SloppyMechanics.com Dyno Day

May 17th, 2009 marked the second annual SloppyMechanics.com dyno day in Allentown. The narrow street and garage area of the Diehl Paving company was filled with tons of imports, european, and domestics. With more than 35+ cars getting dyno time in, the members of the SloppyMechanics crew hustled to keep the lines moving and the crowd happy. The cars ranged from all motor Civics to blown Corvettes to turbo diesel Trucks. The whining blowers and screaming turbochargers could be heard well across the street.

One of the cleaner S14′s around, rolling on the Nismo 350Z wheels and rocking a Kouki front end, this car’s presence was most certainly felt. The SR20DET swap with an upgraded GT2871R turbocharger puts down great power in excess of 400whp.

Another one of the attention getters, this clean red Lotus Elise had many on-lookers dreaming.

Tom’s beautiful supercharged M3 sports gigantic Brembo big brakes, a carbon fiber front lip, and an aggressive staggered wheel setup that will make even the toughest man cringe.

There was a great variety of machinery sharing time on the Dynojet throughout the day. We witnessed everything from track-ready EF Civics to Boss 302 Mustangs.

  1. Awesome pics and write up!

I’m the owner of the Black Kouki, and was dynoing the cars all day. Was an awesome event, and hope to see everyone again soon! We may hold another mid summer event, but most certainly a fall event when the weather cools off!
